Description of Service
This service provides students with access to certain software that the university has licensed for their use. This includes the Microsoft Advantage program that allows students in all colleges at the university to download and install the latest Microsoft Office software on up to five computers at no cost. This program provides:
- Full versions of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and other titles.
- Software for both Windows and Macintosh computers.
- Access to enhanced Microsoft Office Mobile apps on their mobile devices (Android and iOS).
This service also facilitates licensing for specialized software, such as NVivo, that is needed by a particular discipline or college.

To download Microsoft Office software, visit the Microsoft Advantage channel in the Personal section of PAWS (login required).

Service Exclusions, Limitations, and Restrictions
- This software is available for use as long as individuals are a USask student. When no longer a student, individuals will need to purchase an Office license or subscription to continue to use the software.
- Unless otherwise noted, ICT can not provide assistance installing software on a student's personal computer.
