Description of Service
This service provides faculty and staff with access to resources to support a holistic approach to well being—creating a healthy mind, healthy body, and healthy life.
This service includes:
- Implementing programs and initiatives that support wellness.
- Providing workshops that support employees in achieving a healthy mind, healthy body, and healthy life.
- Helping employees increase engagement with their health.
- Providing the Employee and Family Assistance Program (EFAP) as a resource to help employees deal with personal and work-life concerns.
- Networking with external wellness agencies such as the Mental Health Commission of Canada, and other Canadian universities related to wellness programming and initiatives.
Faculty and staff also have access to a variety of benefits to support their wellness.

Service Standards
- Wellness Services are provided in partnership with the Office of the Vice Provost, Teaching, Learning and Student Experience (TLSE) in order to create an environment that promotes and supports the health and well-being of all who study and work at the university’s campuses and to deliver on the institutional wellness strategy by providing resource on promotion, prevention, and intervention.
Service Exclusions, Limitations, and Restrictions
- All University of Saskatchewan employees and their family members or those living within the employee’s household are eligible to use the EFAP program.
- Students can get wellness support from the Student Wellness Centre and various student wellness resources.
Service Charges
- Some programs and initiatives may have fees.
