Description of Service
This service provides the university community with access to advice, help, and support related to the university’s facilities. Facilities Support Services serves as the primary point of contact for most of the university community seeking resolution and assistance with matters related to university facilities, including general enquiries, service requests, emergency maintenance, repair requests, and to report a problem or concern regarding campus buildings, grounds and/or infrastructure. Strategic facilities advice, guidance, and support is available from the Facilities Strategic Business Advisors (SBAs) (login required).
Facilities Support Services includes:
- Gathering information about an issue to identify the source of the problem.
- Determining the best way to direct the problem to support timely resolution.
- Assisting with work management services and the coordination of project delivery.
- Dispatching service and support personnel as appropriate.
The service is provided through phone, email, and online.
Facilities Strategic Business Advisors (SBAs) services include:
- Guidance, support, and strategic advice to deans, department heads, and other leaders in a college, school or unit (or a cluster of colleges, schools or units).
- Assistance to develop and implement facility-focussed solutions that achieve the unit’s priorities and outcomes.

- There are no charges associated with contacting Facilities Support Services; depending on the nature of the work needed some charges may apply.
