Description of Service

This service provides faculty, staff, and researchers with support for making an honorarium payment to an individual as a thank you gesture of nominal value for voluntary services. An honorarium is a payment for services for which fees are not legally required. Often there is no expectation of remuneration (i.e. the service would likely be provided whether or not there is payment). Examples include payments to elders, research subjects, etc. The honorarium amount is not negotiated and the amount does not change depending on the hours of service.
