Description of Service

This service provides faculty and staff with support for making payments to an individual in exchange for a service performed. Service income is a payment for services to an individual and/ or owner of a non-incorporated business. Examples include payments to a guest lecturer/speaker, an academic reviewer, or a contracted service (e.g. workshop facilitation).


Access

Use the Service Income Requisition form (login required) to request a service income payment to an individual such as a guest lecturer/speaker, an academic reviewer, or for a contracted service.

Faculty and staff can request service income requisition support from ConnectionPoint using the following methods:

  • Submit an Online Request through PAWS (Apps and Services -> Administrative -> ConnectionPoint):

Service Standards


Service Exclusions, Limitations, and Restrictions

  • In order to submit this request you must attach a copy of the vendor invoice and the Certification Page from the Employment vs Contracted Services Questionnaire.
  • Service payments are made out to a person's name, not to a company name (e.g. Jane Smith vs. Smith Music Inc.).
  • Support for paying an individual as a thank you gesture of nominal value for voluntary services is provided by the Honorarium Support service.

Service Charges

  • There are generally no charges for using the Service Income Requisition Support service.
