Description of Service

This service provides members of the university community with access to university stores that support the timely acquisition of commonly used goods so that faculty, staff, and researchers can deliver on their teaching, research, and administrative responsibilities.

The service includes:

  • Managing on-hand inventories of commonly used items (e.g. building materials, facilities supplies, tools, chemicals, lab supplies, etc.).
  • Negotiating reduced pricing as a result of contracts for large volumes.
  • Delivering warehousing services for facilities and IT/AV.
  • Providing shipping and receiving services for facilities and IT/AV.

Faculty, staff, and researchers can access the following university stores:

Procurement of specialized items is provided as part of other procurement services (see Service Exclusions, Limitations, and Restrictions below).


Availability of Support

Core Hours: 8:30 am–4:30 pm Monday to Friday
After Hours: N/A


Service Standards

  • In stock items available when requested; availability for items not in stock will vary.
  • Access to some university stores may be limited to specific colleges or units.


Service Charges

  • Costs for all goods procured from the university stores are paid for by the department unless they are covered under a centrally-funded program.
